House Hunting Internationally

There’s a reason there are so many shows dedicated to finding, renovating, and redecorating houses. Let’s face it, we’re all curious about houses. They vary so much around the country (basements in the midwest, brick and stone in Texas, brownstones in NYC etc) and also internationally. The two things I noticed most in Australia that were different than the US were the lack of garbage disposals and the lack of storage space (come on, us Americans like to hoard our stuff, we need our space!). When looking for a home in Vietnam I quickly noticed that ovens were not standard, as they aren’t needed in their traditional cooking needs, and the lack of dishwashers. However after seeing about 15 properties we finally settled on a place that had all the amenities to keep us happy.  My must-have was a good kitchen, Rob’s must-have was for me to finally be happy with a house. So for all the wondering and wandering eyes, here are some pics of our new home, and we are ready for guests!
